Gain more time underwater – safely and efficiently
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course, known as the Nitrox course, is the most popular specialty among recreational divers. It allows you to dive with a higher oxygen content in the mixture (and less nitrogen), thereby extending your no-decompression limits and reducing post-dive fatigue.
PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox)
It’s an ideal course for anyone planning multiple dives a day, diving safaris, or simply wanting to enhance their safety – whether in recreational or technical diving.
Location Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Egypt (or liveaboard)
The course is theoretical, with no mandatory dive (however, it can be combined with dives as part of other activities).
Course duration: Half a day, including lecture, analyzer practice, and final test
Price includes:
- complete theoretical instruction according to PADI standards
- oxygen analyzer practice
- final test and international PADI Nitrox certification
What you will learn
Advantages and limitations of using enriched air nitrox (EANx)
How to properly analyze the mixture, label the cylinder, and keep records
How to plan Nitrox dives using tables or a computer
How to recognize and avoid the risk of oxygen toxicity
Working with your dive computer when setting % O₂ and maximum depth
What to bring
- PADI OWD certification (or equivalent)
- If combined with a dive: your own or rented equipment (not included in the price)
- Your computer (dive computer) – if you own one, to learn how to use it in EANx mode
- Pen and a good mood – the course is theoretical, but very practical
How to prepare
We recommend informing us in advance if you wish to combine the course with an actual Nitrox dive.
The theory can be completed online via PADI eLearning, or in person with us at our center.
No physical fitness is required – this is a theoretical course without practical diving.
Upon completion, you will receive international PADI Enriched Air Diver certification (up to 40% O₂) and thus the ability to use Nitrox at dive centers worldwide.
You will extend your no-decompression limits on repetitive dives, a valuable advantage for safaris, wreck dives, and daily dives.
If you want to get the most out of your diving and enhance your safety, the Nitrox course is the right step – short, practical, and with long-term benefits for your diving future.
